Before you do any exercise you should be FMS screen first.
We all have good intentions when we start exercising. Go for that run, start that spin class, sign up to boot camp, buy a Wii Fit. However is this the right thing for you? How do you know if your body can handle what you are throwing at it? Resulting in pain, maybe your body is in pain and you still work out, putting more stress on stress. Building fitness on dysfunction.
You wouldn't drive a car that has never been MOT/serviced for 20 years. So why treat your body in the same way?
What is FMS?
Functional movement screen (FMS) is a short test designed by Gray Cook. The test is made up of 7 key exercises that show how the natural movement of your body should be. You are scored out of 21, depending on your score, these exercises will identify where your body is strongest and highlight any physical imbalances or weakness. This allows me to give you the right corrective exercises to reduce the risk of injury and make your body and workouts more effective.

- Restore the body to its natural state, stress free
- Improve sport performance
- It will identify weak areas now, working on them will reduces problems and injuries in the future.
We can all have these 'weak' areas no matter what fitness level we are and it's never to late to work on them. These can happen from sitting at our desks all day, being constantly on your feet, playing sports both recreationally or professionally. If not worked on can become a bad back, a sore hip, a nagging knee pain, irritating bad shoulder, stress neck.
